about

Music and lyrics written by Joe Rubio and Steve Chait

lyrics

I can hear the bombs exploding,
This war has begun

Peaceful ways of life corroding,
So we’re on the run

From their distant lands they sow,
And what will grow

Is this a debt we owe?
Take your things and go

There on the horizon,
Lies the path we seek

In the never-ending darkness,
No option but to sneak

Who will fall along the journey,
We don’t know

Where to go,
From here
Far away,

We’re nearly there,
We’ll meet someday

Within the light, I find myself
Within the fight, you’ll bleed as well

Here in the dark,
You can hide you’ll be fine

Out there what was yours,
I will take for it’s mine

I wandered clear streams of blue,
And felt the wind with all beside you

This is but a dream,
For me

As fire rains from the sky,
I’ve got nothing left to go on

Is this but a dream,
For you

I reach up and touch the sky,
But it fades away,
Away, away

(The wheels of time are driven by pain, conflict and strife
The cycle of existence, devour to survive)

A wicked storm is raging,
Too late for it to end

Now they hide in silence,
Their turn to defend

Destruction we create,
A guarantee

That this moment will,
Live in history

They had us in a corner,
And they know the score

Reminder that they owe,
A crime to answer for

Maybe, maybe

Things may change,
But for now

We’ve got them,
On the run

about

Chromatic Aberration Cleveland, Ohio

A shared love of prog rock (especially Rush!) and Ultimate brought us together.

We played in a band for a few years (2014-2016) in California before I moved cross country for work in 2017.

Before leaving, we created some demos, but I knew we'd have to get back together someday to do them justice.

Reuniting in 2020, 'The Trial of the King' is that result.
